Album Live Shows and Pledge

Hello everyone, we hope you’re all doing well!

AN ANNOUNCEMENT

We begin this newsletter with the sad news that bass player Andy will no longer be part of Ellen and the Escapades in 2012. It goes without saying that Andy has been a large part of our story so far and we wish him lots of love and success. We’re going to have a bit of a reshuffle but our upcoming album release and all live dates will go on as planned, so don’t worry!

FIRST GIG OF THE YEAR AND TOURING!

As many of you will have seen, our first gig of 2012 will be a headline show at Norwich Arts Centre on Monday 16th January – that’s tomorrow for those of you reading on Sunday! We had a wonderful time supporting Josh T Pearson there last year and we’re delighted to have been invited back. Tickets are still available by clicking here.

We also recently signed to X-ray Touring and our new agent has been busy booking some great shows for us. We’ll be doing a pre-album tour in February and March followed by an album tour in April. We’ll be sending out another newsletter soon with a full list of dates and ticket links for you, but here’s a sneak peek: www.musicglue.net/ellenandtheescapades. We’re excited to be sharing the stage with King Charles for a date in February too. There is however some more exciting news on live shows below…

PLEDGE MUSIC

In other news, we have finally secured a date for our ‘Pledge gig’, which will take place at Seven Arts Centre on 15th February in Leeds. You can buy tickets for this via our Pledge Music page here: www.pledgemusic.com/projects/ellenandtheescapades The full campaign is still up and running, so please keep spreading the word – also, keep your eyes out for a special, very limited edition new item coming soon!

PRE-RELEASE ALBUMS

We’re also very excited to tell you that anybody attending the February and March shows will have the opportunity to buy a special pre-release limited edition copy of our debut album. It won’t be available in shops or online so we hope to see as many of you as possible at the live shows to celebrate with us and have a chance to hear it early. Anyone who has already pre-ordered the album via our Pledge Music page will also receive their limited edition copies of the album by 1st March. You can still do that via this link if you haven’t already!

COMMUNION ALBUM LAUNCH

Finally, we are delighted to announce that our debut album ‘All The Crooked Scenes’ will be released on 16th April and to celebrate, Communion are going to be hosting our London album launch at The Lexington on that very day. You can take a peek at their announcement and buy tickets by clicking here. We’re really excited about it! We’ll be announcing our Leeds launch very soon, so keep and eye out for that too, it’s going to be a good one!

We’ve got a lot going on in 2012 and we’re really looking forward to sharing it with you all. Thank you for your continued support, please keep in touch on Facebook, Twitter and our website as we love hearing from you, and we have some more things to shout about very soon!

Lots of love to you!

Free gig in Nottingham this Saturday!

This Saturday (19th November) we’ll be playing at 10pm at The AFO showcase in Nottingham! It’s a free gig open to the public and delegates from the AFO conference. Would be cool for some people to come down and give us a good crowd to play too!
